Going the used route find a 1971-87 1/2 ton with 1 1/4" rotors and unbolt the front main crossmember with all steering & brake parts attached, don't forget you will need a new master cylinder & prop valve for disc/drum also.
After unbolting the front crossmember do the same to your truck and roll it from under the truck and roll the donor under it and bolt it on. When bolting it on there were 3 bolts on 73 up frames on either side, you can install it with just 2 like your truck or drill the 3rd hole.
The used method is only economical if the rotors, calipers, bearings etc.... are all good if you have to replace a bunch of worn out brake parts by the time you by the used parts, then replace whats worn out you generally end up with more $$$ & time in the used route version than buying the conversion kit.
